There were many many years where the Detroit Thanksgiving Parade was the highlight of the city's entertainment that day. Though the Lions game was a must watch for many, it was often a painful experience.
This Thanksgiving, the parade, which was well attended as usual, seemed more like an appetizer before the main dish at Ford Field, in a game that pits the 8-2 Lions against the 4-6 Green Bay Packers. In the NFL, on any given day, any team can win. There's no guarantees.
But Lions fans can at least enter the game with a fair amount of optimism. The Lions are favored to win.
Until then, here's some parade photos.
