The once beloved Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford will enter Ford Field on Sunday as a foe. He got a taste of that in January when the Detroit fans showed him no love in the playoffs.
Now, he talks about this Sunday and how he looks forward to going into the hostile Lions' den.
"I feel the crowd, 100%. Motivating factor, I love it," Stafford told reporters Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to the Detroit News. "I'm one of the guys that walks into the opposing stadium, (and) everybody has headphones on; I don't. I want to hear all of it. I want to smell it. I want to feel like it's football and that's part of football, especially going to an away game.
"So that stuff just motivates me."
