The downtown Detroit store has yet to open, but Apple has announced on its website that it's "coming soon" and it's now hiring.

"Apple Downtown Detroit is now hiring. Imagine what you could do here," the website says. "Learn more about the different roles, benefits and growth opportunities in Apple Retail."

The site does not list the address but it's likely to be on Woodward near Dan Gilbert's Hudson's site.

JC Reindl of the Detroit Free Press reported in June:

Two downtown workers said they were told by people working construction that the covered-up storefronts between 1426 and 1434 Woodward — just north of the Shinola Hotel, and formerly occupied by side-by-side stores Madewell, Detroit is the New Black and Le Labo — are being prepped to become a future Apple Store.

This will be Apple's seventh store in Michigan. Other locations include Troy, Novi, Ann Arbor, Clinton Township, Grand Rapids and Lansing.
