
David Zeman
The Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame has named 11 new inductees including David Zeman, former investigative editor for the Detroit Free Press and former senior editor at Bridge Michigan.
Others include:
- Cynthia Canty: Michigan radio storyteller, who was also an anchor and reporter on WKBD-Channel 50 and former host of “Stateside” on Michigan Public.
- Alex Cruden: Former editor at the Detroit Free Press
- Kirt Dozier: Former photojournalist at the Detroit News and Free Press
- John Flesher: Environmental reporter at Associated Press
- Cindy Goodaker: Former executive editor at Crain's Detroit Business
- Daymon J. Hartley: Former Detroit Free Press photojournalist
- Dorothy Jurney: Former Detroit Free Press women's page editor who was later promoted to assistant managing editor. She came to the Freep in 1959.
- Keith Owens: Former politics and music journalist at the Detroit Free Press and Michigan Chronicle.
- Pat Rencher: Advocated for older readers’ health
- Jam Sardar: Longtime news director at WLNS-TV in Lansing.
The 2025 Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing on Sunday, April 13th.
