Farmington Hills Dr. Zvi Levran, aka "HockeyDoc," who provided medical assistance for youth hockey teams, pleaded no contest Tuesday in Oakland County Circuit Court to more than two dozen sex crimes, most of which involved male teens, The Oakland Press reports.
A no-contest plea is not an admission of guilt. However, it means Levran, 68, does not contest the accusations and will accept the punishment.
Levran entered his plea on three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, 10 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, 11 counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of child sexually abusive material, and two counts of child sexually abusive activity.
Levran, who has been in custody since 2022, was first arrested that year after a 19-year-old man reported an alleged sexual assault during a medical exam at Levran’s home office, The Oakland Press reported. An investigation led to additional charges. Most of the allegations involved teen boys he came in contact with as a doctor for youth hockey and other sports programs.
The alleged crimes were reported in Farmington, Farmington Hills, Novi, and West Bloomfield, the Oakland Press reports.
