
Updated: 11:56 a.m. Thursday -- Hospital workers tell Deadline Detroit that the hospital shooting happened in the parking deck and involved one employee shooting and wounding another. The employee was struck twice before the shooter fled.
The two had been friends but had a falling out, Troy Police said.
WXYZ reports that the vicim is 25 years old and the suspected shooter was arrested in Macomb Township. The shooting happened around 7 a.m.
Troy Police have scheduled a press conference for 1 p.m.
Updated: 9:50 a.m. Thursday -- An all clear has been announced at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital at 44201 Dequindre where one person was shot and wounded.
Troy Police said the suspect is in custody.
Police are expected to release more details at 1 p.m.
Rumors among hospital workers is that the incident involved an employee shooting and wounding another employee.
Police have yet to confirm that publicly.

A nightmare is unfolding Thursday morning at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital at 44201 Dequindre.
Authorities report that someone shot and wounded one person, who is now receiving treatment. The hospital is on lockdown as police search for the shooter.
"We can confirm there has been a shooting at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital," Troy Police posted on X. "This appears to be an isolated incident; however, the suspect is not in custody. Please avoid the area."
