Ex-Congressman Mike Rogers and President Trump.

Mike Rogers was once a major critic of Donald Trump, describing him as having a "chaotic leadership style."

But in his last bid for the U.S. Senate in 2024, the Republican embraced Trump, knowing the path to victory would require MAGA support.

Now, once again, he's embracing Trump—and vice versa.

On Thursday, on Truth Social, Trump announced his endorsement of Rogers for the U.S. Senate in 2026.

"From the U.S. Army to Congress, Mike has served our Nation with distinction, and will bring that same Fighting Spirit to the U.S. Senate," Trump wrote. "As your next Senator, Mike will work tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE by keeping the price of Gasoline, Oil, and all forms of Energy VERY LOW (CHEAP!), Help Secure our now VERY Secure (Record Setting!) Southern Border, Support our Incredible Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.

"Mike Rogers has my Complete and Total Endorsement — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!"

In recent days, Rogers has been promoting Trump on X, writing:

"President Trump is fighting tooth and nail to bring manufacturing jobs back home. When I get to the Senate, I’ll partner with the President to make Michigan the Arsenal of Democracy again."

Interestingly, if Trump's popularity sinks, Rogers may have to figure out a way to distance himself from the president.
