If Detroiters were looking for love during Sunday’s taping of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, they got it.

The show, which aired Monday night on NBC, was nothing but a big Detroit pep rally, with endless references to "The Motor City," "Motown," "The D," "The 313," Vernors, The Temptations, Eminem, Jared Goff, the Detroit Lions, Gratiot, Livernois, and a whole lot more.

Fallon, who even sang a song about Detroit, mentioned there were 3,000 people in the audience at the taping at the Detroit Opera House.

Guests included actor Keegan-Michael Key, Detroit Pistons’ Cade Cunningham, and Detroit Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson. Martha Reeves also made an appearance, along with a taped video message from Ford CEO Jim Farley.

“I think the whole city feels this way, man — we're so happy to have you in Detroit,” Cunningham told Fallon during the show.
