An award-winning, New York-based restaurant group plans to open a restaurant in Dan Gilbert's Hudson’s Detroit building on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit in 2026.
"We’re honored to join our friends and partners at Bedrock Detroit in bringing new life to a historic location through Hudson’s Detroit, an iconic landmark at the heart of the city," the Union Square Hospitality Group said on its website.
The specifics of the restaurant have not been disclosed. It is the first known restaurant confirmed to be moving into the new building.
Bedrock's Senior Vice President of Hospitality, Andrew Leber, said in a press release:
“Detroit has the best restaurants and chefs in the country, and the arrival of Union Square Hospitality Group signals that the world has taken notice. Hudson’s Detroit is creating new and unforgettable experiences for everyone, further solidifying the city as a must-see destination.”
