A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon outside a Dollar General store on Woodward and Manchester in Highland Park, WXYZ reports.
The incident took place around 3:45 p.m.
The TV station said a witness reported seeing a group of boys fire four shots at the victim.
A van passing by was struck by a bullet. A man and his wife were in the vehicle but were not harmed.
