A woman and a 1-year-old girl were shot and wounded at a home on Detroit’s east side around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter call, which pinpoints the location of gunfire, at a home on Binder near E. Outer Drive. They found a 24-year-old woman who had been shot in the hand and a girl who was shot in the leg. Both are in stable condition, WXYZ reports.
Detroit Deputy Chief Arnold Williams told WXYZ that the home had numerous bullet holes.
He said police believe the shooter may have gotten out of a car, fired at the house, and then fled.
