After the Detroit Lions’ disastrous loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Day, which dropped them into last place, the team is in need of serious soul-searching. Yes, the Lions were inundated with injuries, but they also played as if they had lost their compass.
After the loss, Lions offensive tackle Dan Skipper, 31, said, according to The Athletic, the New York Times’ sports section:
“I think we all need to take a nice, good, long look in the mirror after this. Reflect, figure out how we can improve, and give the city a team that they’re proud of again.
“Because this year was bullshit.”
