HGTV has fired Michigan native and "Rehab Addict" star Nicole Curtis after a two-year-old video surfaced in which she is heard saying the n-word, RadarOnline.com reports.

Radar reports that it obtained the video of Curtis, 49, saying, "Oh, fart n*****," during a taping of Rehab Addict.

After saying the words, she is heard on the video pleading with the crew of her show to nix the recording, Radar reports.

"Nick, you gotta, you gotta — can you kill that? F*** my life."

The comment was edited out before the show aired in June 2025.

In an official statement, HGTV told Radar it was "recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict" and has fired Curtis.

"We understand that language like this is hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees, and it does not align with the values of HGTV," the network said in the statement.

HGTV said it has "removed the series from all HGTV platforms."

Curtis' team tells the Detroit News in a statement that Curtis "is deeply saddened by the hurt her words have caused."

"She takes full responsibility for their impact, regardless of context. What occurred was a clear slip of the tongue — a mistaken version of one of her well-known expressions — spoken after 17 hours of physically demanding work and very little sleep. Even so, she understands that intent does not erase impact, and she is truly sorry."
