New Burger Joint Opens in Former Hunter House Location in Birmingham

Hunter House, the iconic little Birmingham burger joint on Woodward, recently moved to the other side of the road into a space formerly occupied by KFC after a legal dispute with its landlord.

Now, another burger joint, Better Burgers, has just opened in Hunter House’s former space at 35075 Woodward, WXYZ reports.

Better Burgers manager Mikos Plumaj told WXYZ the restaurant opened without fanfare to test operations.

“So we figured, you know, this is a very busy area right here — downtown Birmingham and Woodward — and we wanted to open the doors, get settled in, figure things out, work out the kinks and, you know, as people talk, people start coming,” Plumaj said.
