
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged a 13-year-old boy with bringing a gun with ammunition to his middle school in Inkster.
The boy, who is being charged as a juvenile, is alleged to have brought a gun into Tomlinson Middle School on Tuesday in his backpack.
Inkster police officers were called to the school and took the boy into custody.
The juvenile has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon in a weapons-free school zone.
The juvenile recieved a $3,000/10% bond and was ordered to have no possession of firearms or ammunition and to comply with school disciplinary action. A pre-trial conference is set for April 14 at 9:00 a.m., via Zoom before Referee Edward Hill.
