Shortly after Paige Shiver's ABC TV interview aired Friday morning about her years-long affair with fired University of Michigan coach Sherrone Moore, Deadline Detroit readers responded very critically to her on social media.
"I don’t care to hear about what she has to say. She knew he was married with children and seen his family at the games every week," wrote Debbie McIntosh on Deadline Detroit's Facebook page.
Cynthia Toney wrote:
"I’m sorry, but why would they interview this woman? She shouldn’t be given airtime. Unless, they are going to give the same airtime to Moore. She is as much at fault as he is."
In the interview aired on ABC's Good Morning America, Shiver, 32, said she thought she loved Moore,40, but reflecting on what happened, "that's not love at all."
Shiver, who was the former executive assistant to Moore, said he had complete control over her emotions and career, knowing he could fire her at any time. And she says he manipulated her into staying in the on-and-off relationship for four years.
She also said at one point she got pregnant with Moore, who is married with children. She wanted to have the baby. But doctors told her she had Pompe, a genetic disorder that weakens muscle strength, and that she shouldn't go through with the pregnancy. So, she got an abortion.

I think some things should be kept private. The fact she got pregnant and had an abortion is no one’s business. Old saying “It takes two to tango!” She is not innocent and has zero class having a relationship with a married man whose wife is pregnant.

No matter how she shapes this story, as a woman she will always be viewed as the home wrecker, the mattress queen a reputation forever.
There’s a saying that still stands when it comes to women and how they carry themselves. For some men can go out there and have several women & it gets thrown under the rug or still blend in with society but women when they do what she did as a mattress queen and home wrecker she will have the tag hanging over her head no matter what , you might not blend in with other women well with that type of reputation.
