Michigan Central station in Detroit's Corktown will resume public tours Oct. 8, the station announced Tuesday.

At the same time, the station said it has landed it's first food and beverage tenant -- Yellow Light Coffee & Donuts, which operates a shop on Detroit's east side on E. Jefferson. It will open later this year in the station’s historic retail arcade.

Guided tours will be offered in partnership with Detroit History Tours, with experts offering inside anecdotes from the building’s restoration.

“Detroit History Tours is honored to be powering tours of The Station,” said Bailey Sisoy-Moore, the Hamtramck-based company’s owner in press release. “From The Station’s legendary past to its exciting future, we are excited to share this landmark’s story with the world.”

Tickets are $20 a person.

The station offered free public tours for more than three months that attracted more than 167,000 visitors. Those tours ended Labor Day.
