Oh, the joy of winning. The Detroit Lions are 12-1 and have captured the enthusiasm of not only a city and state, but of a nation.

Now, comes the downside -- rising ticket prices.

The Detroit News reports:

The Lions sent out renewal forms to season-ticket holders Thursday, and the jump in price was steep. Four season-ticket holders spoke to The Detroit News about the hike, and the rate of increase ranged anywhere from 23% to 69%.

James Hanikian, who has two seats in section 344, said he understands the business side of things and wasn't surprised the tickets got more costly, but he expressed shock about how much more expensive they've gotten year over year. Hanikian says his two tickets cost $1,278 in 2023, $1,758 in '24 and now $2,918 in '25.

"I’d love to still go to all of the games and I haven’t sold 1 ticket since getting these three years ago," Hanikian wrote in a direct message on social media. "It’s my biggest passion & my family has been going to games since the Silverdome. My brother and I share these season tickets & go to all of the games together."
