Kroger in Southgate
A Kroger worker fatally stabbed a customer at the store on Fort Street in Southgate around 3 p.m. Tuesday, WXYZ reports.
The victim, identified as a 23-year-old Southgate man, died at the hospital from his injuries. Police said the suspect, who knew the victim, was taken into custody.
Kroger released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred in our store today, and our thoughts are with the customer. We are working closely with local law enforcement as they investigate this matter. The safety of our customers and associates remains our highest priority.”
